Nestled in on Periwinkle Way, the main street on Sanibel, just across from Dixie Beach Boulevard, there is our quaint little bookstore and gift boutique. Sanibel Island Bookshop, tag lined “A great place to be stranded”, is exactly that! Our lovely shop has just about everything you could want and need! This is not just a bookstore any more this is a bookstore with both wonderful books and gifts.  

But don’t think for one minute that because we sell an array of gifts we skimp on the amazing reading selection. There is such an eclectic selection that if you’re in need of a stack of great books, you can stop in and say “Tell me what to read”.  Not only can we suggest the perfect books but, if you join the frequent buyer program and become a “Bookworm”, we will  keep on hand an inventory of what you have purchased so as not to let you buy books you’ve already bought here. Being a Bookworm also entitles you to other special savings and coupons!

Make sure you visit the area dedicated to a wide variety of greeting cards, boxed note cards and Journals. The shop also carries the exclusive Crane & Co. Papers and Embossed Graphics personalized stationary.

For the beach-bound, in addition to great beach reads, the bookshop is carrying SwitchFlops,  flip flops and sandals with interchangeable straps, that change from beach casual to a formal affair in a matter of seconds. There are also beach cover-ups, beach bags, fun purses and lots of fun jewelry!  And for the perfect hostess gift look no further. There are bath and body products and candles by Archipelago. The selection of home goods is well suited for this area with beach and coastal themes.
